Barbara Smith, BROKER, GRI, REALTOR® has been in the real estate  industry since leaving the banking industry in 1986 and has extensive experience in property management, residential sales and commercial management fields. An experienced and dedicated leasing specialist, she knows the Salinas area well since she has lived here since 1964 and has worked on the Monterey Peninsula for 16 years.

Cindy L. Vargas,  REALTOR®/Partner, has been working with Smith Realty as their Client Care Manager since 2003 and has now joined in partnership as a new partner with Barbara Smith and will become their new Management Consultant. She has extensive background as a Customer Service Manager with emphasis on Teller Operations, IRA Specialist and Junior Loan Officer since 1980. During her 15 years with Wells Fargo Bank, she had extensive training in business banking and was awarded top sales team. She continued her banking career with a local independent credit union where she helped develop a youth savings program to encourage local youth to save money.

Cindy is a Salinas-born native and currently lives in Salinas with her two daughters, Kayla-18 and Morgan-11 and her dog, Royce. No stranger to hard work, she was active with the Salinas High Booster Club, volunteering at various sports events; active with Natividad 4H for several years; supporting the University Park School at First Day Celebration for 3 years and is currently a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) as well as a local member of the Monterey Chapter.

Cindy has a strong commitment to hard work and family and is devoted to carrying on that same devotion to her clients. Cindy prides herself on her customer service skills and making a different in the lives of her clients and tenants. Barbara Jorgensen, Real Estate Consultant, has worked in the insurance industry, had seven children and entered in to the hospitality industry for 30 years. She became a REALTOR® in August of 2004 and worked for Prudential in Carmel.

She recently obtained her real estate license in the state of Washington and currently works for Smith Realty in California and Prudential McPherson's Real Estate in Woodinville, Washington.

Barbara travels between her two locations and keeps in constant contact with all of clients, friends and family. She is very busy and in her spare time is opening a franchise in Redmond, Washington called 1-2-3 FIT.

She is currently working on her GRI credentials and is a published author of Amy's Journey. She has been on many radio programs throughout the United States and her book is currently available on Amazon.com
