Schools present
FIRST DAY
activities for families, The principle gathered parents at a recent
assembly on August 18 to welcome everyone (students & parents) back to
school. SMITH REALTY sponsored the FIRST DAY activities at
 University Park School and provided bright, colorful "Tote Bags"
to all of the students that included: pencil, pencil sharpeners,
erasers, note pads, rules and "Emergency Preparedness" brochures
for the parents.
The Chamber of Commerce
 is encouraging local schools to hold a First
Day of School Celebration, and forth-two businesses have committed
to doing so, SMITH REALTY is one of those businesses. This is an
opportunity for parents and teaches to begin the school year on the same
team while relieving students of first day anxiety. Additionally, these
events help to improve parental and community involvement for the rest
of the school year and show students that education is a priority to
us all.
